Placing value on the social media audience is not always easy. Depending on the nature of your business and the media outlet you are looking at, the value of your audience might vary. Regardless of the situation, the social media audience does play a role in the success of your company.
Connecting With New Customers
Your social media audience is a valuable tool to help improve your business, identify problems and connect with new customers. Even if a small portion of those online friends decide to look at your social media accounts and give your business a try, you will see gradual growth over time.

By connecting with your audience, you are able to show that you are paying attention to their worries or you are ready to answer questions if they come up.

The real value of social media websites is not getting more customers. It is actually connecting with your audience on a personal level and sharing information that your audience will find useful. You can share tips about your products, facts about the history of products that are similar to yours or information that you feel is relevant and useful to your audience. For example, if you sell a skin care product, then you might offer information about ways to fight acne or address dry skin.
Share information with your audience. Content and engagement are ultimately the aspect that sets your business apart. It is a subtle way to advertise your services without actually talking about products directly.
The social media audience is a valuable way to advertise and gain business through word of mouth. Although it can take time to build up a solid foundation and see business benefits, you will improve your company's reputation and standing with social media.

Social media audience is definitely important in terms of sharing. Having a strong social media connection can help a website be promoted in different community where active social media users gather and engage with each other. Keep in mind that a "share" of website is a form of marketing/promotional campaign which can drive a lot of traffic to the website.

Deletegreat post Bishnu. :) this article reminds me of the times when i am creating marketing reports for my clients and i always include the Social Media as part of Promotion Strategy (Marketing reports usually have a section called Marketing Mix that includes 4Ps particularly Place, promotion, Price and Products/services)

Hi Bishnu, The importance of social media presence and audience cannot be over emphasized. Any Business that needs to grow has to consider having a full presence on social media site. This is because social media have witnessed a sporadic change as its users have incorporated their personal lives into it. If a business needs to grow, meets new prospects, addresses issue. Its need a social media audience.
