This is easy for WordPress users that they can edit every comment of any user to remove bad links but for Blogger users, we're unable to edit the comments because there is no option for this. No matter how big the problem is but there is always a hidden way to solve it and yes we can remove the links from comments. You must be thinking how? Then let me tell you. We'll use a little code of jQuery that will convert the link into the text but if you wish to completely remove the links then we can also do it. Let's begin the tutorial.

How To Remove Links From Comments In Blogger?


Go To Blogger >> Template >> Backup Your Template
Click "Edit HTML" and Click on Anywhere In The Coding Box To Active It and Find For </body>
Copy The Below Code and Paste It Above </body>

<script>$('.comment-content a[rel$=nofollow]').replaceWith(function(){return ($(this).text());});</script>
Now This code will convert all the links into text but if you want to remove the links then add the below code above </body>

Click "Save Template" and You've Done!

  1. Nice tip but by this all your blog comments will become dofollow to nofillow, so this thing can hurt your friend bloggers. Else the tip is very much useful, nice share :)

  3. Awesome trick. This is indeed a necessary one because comments are also considered as content by Search engines and the links pointing to spammy sites will hurt your blog in terms of SEO. And a blogger can't edit the comment too!
    (I too have spammed some of my comments with links on top blogs when I'm new to blogging ;) )
